When I think back to summer afternoons running around the neighborhood, the first thing that pops into my head is glass marble games. Everyone would pull out their favorite collections from their pockets, dump them on the ground, and start a friendly match right on the dirt patch by the sidewalk.

Each one is polished smooth, with unique patterns you won’t find anywhere else. I bought them not just for the nostalgia, but also because they make a lovely little display on my coffee table. Friends who come over always pick one up, turn it around in their hands, and start talking about their own childhood marble games.

Small things often hold the warmest memories. A simple glass marble connects the fun of the past to the little joys of today, reminding us to slow down and appreciate the simple, beautiful things around us.
